Melanie, with her intuition for interpersonal relationships, is the guarantor of a harmonious collaboration within the entire KOHLHOFF team. She is the central point for important internal matters. Having been an active competitive sailor in the 505 class in the past, Melanie is now found on the J70 regatta circuit or spending time on the water with her family in her leisure time

A cornerstone of the German sailing industry. Peter has been the owner and managing director of KOHLHOFF GmbH for 35 years and is known for his vast knowledge and contagious enthusiasm. Whether as an active sailor on the water, in consulting sessions with clients, or in the development of new ideas—he is always fully committed with great passion!

Nick has been actively sailing since he was a young boy. He came to Kiel for his business studies and ended up with us. He remains calm even in the most challenging tasks, and his friendly and laid-back personality make him a valuable team member.

Adda is the good soul of Kohlhoff GmbH. She enjoys answering customer calls and is always able to help right away. Additionally, her organizational skills make her indispensable to the company. Born in Husum, she has had a connection to water since birth, but her true passion lies in horseback riding.

Ropework, rigging, and project management are his world. After nearly a decade of hard work on the Laser and Finn dinghy, Max swapped the hiking strap for an office chair. In the company, he primarily focuses on rigging projects and always comes up with great ideas when it comes to specialized solutions in this field. Of course, he remains loyal to sailing and is, among other things, successfully competing in the Star class.

Anja is the finance minister in our company. With her many years of experience in accounting, she keeps our numbers reliably under control with great passion and meticulousness. Anja’s good mood and balanced nature always create a positive atmosphere in the team.

Johann is the youngest of the three Kohlhoff brothers. He has been sailing nearly as long as he has been walking. Growing up in the legendary youth department of the Kiel Yacht Club, he transitioned from Opti to Laser and celebrated successes in both national and international regattas. Later, he became a multiple J-70 Bundesliga winner with the NRV. After a successful sailing career, Johann focused on his studies in business psychology and went on to work successfully in the fashion industry. Today, he combines his sailing expertise with the fashion world and co-leads the brand SLAM with Nick Heuwinkel.

Thanks to her nearly 20 years of experience with our company, Conny even has a clear overview from her home office in Baden-Württemberg. She keeps the prices reliably up to date and, as our specialist in inventory management, uses her keen sense to track down any discrepancies.

As a passionate sailor and a cheerful Rhinelander by nature, Volker supports us in shipping with a consistently good mood and ensures that all goods are carefully packed and sent on their way.

As an active Laser sailor, Stas founded his own sailing school in the Ukrainian port city of Mariupol while still at university. At the beginning of 2022, he left his home country and came to Germany. He now demonstrates his attention to detail in his work—whether with wire or rope—in our rigging workshop. This has made him a valuable and important member of our rigging team.

Dennis is exactly the right technician when it comes to complex systems on yachts. He takes care of everything that involves wiring and ensures that our electrical products function properly. Whether it’s Andersen electric winches, Jefa autopilot drives, or NKE systems—Dennis knows his stuff. As the owner of a classic OE36 himself (of course equipped with NKE), Dennis truly knows which way the wind blows…

Tommi, known as “Klaus,” is our new apprentice in wholesale and foreign trade management. A true “Kieler Jung,” he has been sailing since his youth at the Kiel Yacht Club on dinghies as well as larger yachts. As a boatswain on various racing yachts along the coast, “Klaus” knows exactly what owners expect. Accordingly, Tommi handles customers with a strong service mindset and a friendly approach.

Gunnar made the leap from a mail-order business in Hamburg to join us here on the coast, bringing plenty of energy with him. He supports Volker and Adda with all shipping matters and occasionally gets behind the wheel to deliver goods directly to customers. Gunnar is like a Swiss Army knife—open to handling all kinds of questions and tasks.
