Spartite has since become part of the SIKA USA Group and is—then as now—the non plus ultra for masts that are stepped on the keel and must be guided through the deck. Spartite is a two-component polymer that, once cured, sits in the deck like a solid rubber block. Spartite is available in two different package sizes: Kit 1 with approx. 800 ml and Kit 2 with approx. 1,600 ml. The boxes contain everything needed for installation: a wooden spatula for mixing, a release agent to make either the mast ring or the mast itself removable, foam insulation, and sealing tape for closing the mast opening. The most reliable way to secure the mast exactly where it should be.
